IM Testing
IM is insensitive ammunition that only burns or explodes when it is discharged to engage a target. This means that they will not detonate under circumstances other than engagement. From this safety aspect, it is therefore important to determine what for example happens to missiles during an airplane crash, under hostile fire, when subjected to heat, or during an explosion. The propellant must not react to fire or dropping. This can happen anyway in harsh circumstances, for example during the Gulf War. A considerable amount of material damages to US combat vehicles was caused by their own ammunition detonating due to undesired influences. Consequently, there are major savings involved if these types of risks can be eliminated.

We conduct IM testing in the form eight different IM tests:
Liquid Fuel Fire
Slow Heating
Bullet Attack
Fragment Attack
Shape Charge Weapon Attack
Spall Impact
Sympathetic Reaction
Drop test
